Easter is more than one good day ;-)

The main days:

  • Maundy Thursday: This is the day of the Last Supper, when Jesus had his final meal with His Apostles before his arrest and taught them important lessons regarding His mission and their relationship among one another.
  • Good Friday: Jesus was put to death by crucifixion on this day following a series of trials with several key authorities.
  • Saturday: Jesus remained dead through the entirety of the day following His execution.
  • Easter Day or Easter Sunday: The pinnacle of Jesus's time on Earth, this is the day Jesus was resurrected, thereby conquering death and sin once and for all.

Easter is about:

  • "According to Christian scripture, Jesus was resurrected from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. Some Christians celebrate this resurrection on Easter Day"
  • "Easter also marks the end of Lent, a season of fasting, prayer, and penance."
